[globalresearch.ca] Once again, the war propaganda has invaded the mainstream media, calling for an end to the so-called massacre of Syrian civilians, as well as the overthrow of the Syrian regime.
Once again, in a country which does not advocate the Western views and interests, a chaotic situation is created by the usual suspects and which ultimately raises the issue of “humanitarian intervention” by the usual “saviours”: NATO and its allies.
The social unrest in Syria is described by the mainstream media as a “peaceful protest movement”. The fact of the matter is, it is an armed insurrection. And it’s been planned for a long time, according to General Wesley Clark. Here’s what he wrote in his book Winning Modern Wars: Iraq, Terrorism and the American Empire
“As I went back through the Pentagon in November 2001, one of the senior military staff officers had time for a chat. Yes, we were still on track for going against Iraq, he said. But there was more. This was being discussed as part of a five-year campaign plan, he said, and there were a total of seven countries, beginning with Iraq, then Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Iran, Somalia, and Sudan.”
